Voices Unveiled: Assessing the Impact of Development Aid in Kyrgyzstan from the Perspective of GBV Victims

Voices Unveiled: Assessing the Impact of Development Aid in Kyrgyzstan from the Perspective of GBV Victims

This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of development aid initiatives through the voices of survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Our approach involves thorough desk research on development assistance related to GBV and conducting a fieldwork study in Kyrgyzstan to gain firsthand insights, enriching our understanding of the on-the-ground situation. As a result, we will produce a policy paper  with recommendations for international and donor organizations to better address the GBV problem in the country.

In late February, we anticipate hosting an in-person event in Bishkek to present the project's findings and subsequently publish the results on the CAB website. Stay tuned for updates.

This research project is supported by The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
