How is the Central Asia Barometer funded?

Central Asia Barometer (CAB) is an independent, non-commercial applied social research and analytics institution. The CAB relies on the following to finance its activities:

  1. Research grants;
  2. Paid subscriptions to survey data;
  3. Omnibus surveys;
  4. Conducting applied social research as a contractor.

Funding principles

CAB adheres to strict and clear principles in accountability, integrity, and transparency. CAB is funded by a variety of dispersed sources and therefore has the possibility to conduct its activities independently and objectively. Additionally, no matter the source of funding (e.g. grants, project-based consultancy), CAB guarantees full editorial and intellectual independence, and opinions that are presented in our publications and events belong to the authors.
