Job position: Communications Intern

Estimated duration of employment: January 8, 2024, from up to 6 months with the possibility of employment

Duty location: The internship is remote. However, presence in Bishkek will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development and execution of communication plans.
  • Drafting and editing content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, and social media.
  • Supporting the organization of events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Production, translation and editing various communication materials, including analytical articles
  • Managing and updating content on the organization's website
  • Assisting in the creation of multimedia materials, including infographics, presentations and social media posts
  • Monitoring and analyzing the impact of communication efforts through metrics and analytics tools.
  • Providing general administrative support to the communications team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (communications, social & Political Science, Journalism, International Relations  or related field).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Russian, any of Central Asian languages, is an asset
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), and LinkedIn) and content creation
  • A good understanding of web metrics and experience producing analytics reports is preferred
  • Experience with graphic design tools and multimedia content creation. Particularly Canva, Figma, and data visualization software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

5. Duration:

The internship is expected to last for 6 months, starting on January 8. The exact start and end dates will be discussed and agreed upon with the selected candidate. 

The intern will work around 20 hours per week.

6. Reporting:

The Communications Assistant Intern will report directly to CAB Communications Officer

Selected candidates will be admitted to the second round of selection, which includes the completion of the test task. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview on the 3rd/4th week of December. 

9. Remuneration:

Apart from valuable experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities within the field of communications in a social research organization, the intern will receive $100 monthly after performance evaluation
