Central Asia Barometer Survey Wave 3

Country: Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

Dates: 16.04.2018 - 30.05.2018

Research Design: The goal of this project was to obtain a reliable image of public opinion in several countries. The survey included questions about media usage, the political and economic situation in each country, attitudes towards the government, and opinions on other countries. In addition, it provided demographic information, such as age, education level, religion, and employment status, among others. Fieldwork was conducted simultaneously in the four target countries. To obtain a nationally representative sample in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, we used a combination of stratification and cluster sampling. All of the regions were included in the sample frame and selection process. All interviews were completed on a tablet, with pen and paper used only to complete contact sheets and fill in the Kish grid/tables for respondent selection.
