Meeting with researchers of corruption issues in Kyrgyzstan

On November 10, 2021, at the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan we presented the results of our research work “Corruption in the public procurement system in Kyrgyzstan” at the meeting with researchers who have studied corruption issues in Kyrgyzstan for 6 months.


Moreover, CAB  hosted an online event to present the preliminary findings of this research project that brought together public officials, experts, civil society members, and practitioners engaged with the Kyrgyz public procurement system.

In February 2021, within the “Democratic Governance” program, the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan announced an open grant competition for conducting research among expert organizations on the topic: “Studying the problems of corruption in Kyrgyzstan”. The main goal was to get answers based on exact data, which can be used to more effectively prevent corruption, and other most optimal solutions for governance problems, as well as identify and disseminate effective tools to fight corruption, and promote the necessary measures and initiatives.
